District Transportation

2024-2025 Student Transportation Form and My Stop App

As the school year begins, you may receive questions about our new transportation resource, the My Stop App. All parents and guardians MUST complete the Transportation Form regardless of their student's mode of transportation to/from school to ensure access to bus services at the beginning of the school year. This includes bus riders, car riders, bike riders, and walkers. The form is available in Skyward and must be filled out for both current and new students.

  • If families fill out the Transportation Form requesting bus transportation for a student between now and August 21, then the student will start receiving bus transportation on Monday, August 26.
  • If families fill out the form requesting bus transportation for a student after August 22, then the student will start receiving bus transportation after five school days.

Awards and Honors

Gold Ribbon School 2017-2018
Texas Honor Roll School 2017-2018
Blue-Ribbon School 2018

Lamar Consolidated Independent School District’s Jackson Elementary was selected as a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. Jackson Elementary is one of only 349 schools across the nation and 24 schools in Texas to be recognized with this honor in 2018.

The coveted National Blue Ribbon Schools award affirms the hard work of educators, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content.

Founded in 1982, U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Schools program recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students perform at very high levels or where exemplary progress has been made toward closing achievement gaps among sub-populations while maintaining high achievement levels among all students. Jackson’s selection is based on its exemplary progress on closing the achievement gap.
